Do Rust blueprints wipe on force wipe?
Not always. A force wipe always resets the map. Blueprints only reset if your server wipes them, or if Facepunch forces a blueprint wipe on every server, which it announces with the update.
Who decides when blueprints wipe?
Every server's map resets at the force wipe. Blueprints are kept separately, so each server decides whether to keep or reset them: many reset them at the force wipe for a fresh start, others keep them across several wipes.
Occasionally Facepunch forces a blueprint wipe everywhere. In November 2025 it announced it was wiping all Blueprints, wiping all servers
, and said it wasn't yet committing to doing that every month (Facepunch, Pivot Or Die). When a forced blueprint wipe happens, the update post says so.
What is a blueprint wipe?
Blueprints are the items you've learned to craft, by researching them or unlocking them on a workbench tech tree. A blueprint wipe takes everyone back to the default set, so you have to learn everything again. It doesn't touch the map: a server can wipe blueprints without a map wipe, or the map without blueprints.

Why servers wipe blueprints
A blueprint wipe gives everyone the same start. When Facepunch forced the November 2025 wipe, it said: When you join a freshly map-wiped server but already have everything unlocked, you're effectively skipping the entire early and mid-game.
Servers that never wipe blueprints trade that early game for a faster start.
How to check a server's wipe schedule
Most servers put it in their name or description in the server browser, for example "monthly BP wipe", or list map and blueprint wipe days on their website or Discord. If a server doesn't say, assume blueprints carry over until it does.
